About the Author
Group Captain Anthony M. Forestier OAM is currently the Director of the RAAF’s Air Power Development Centre in Canberra. In 2002-2003, he commanded the School of Air Navigation. He holds two Graduate Diplomas and a Master of Defence Studies from the University of Canberra and is a graduate of Harvard University, where he was a National Security Fellow in 2004. Tony has operational experience in C130H tactical transport aircraft and P3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft and has conducted operational test and evaluation on the RAAF’s F111C bomber and Army’s S60A Blackhawk aircraft. Military staff appointments have included postings to the office of the Air Force Scientific Advisor, as Air Attaché staff at the Embassy of Australia, Washington D.C., to Aerospace Force Development; and to the Space and Joint Systems Project Office, working with the global positioning system. anthony.forestier@defence.gov.au.
