About the Author
Ambassador Marc Grossman served as the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey from 1994-1997. President Bush subsequently nominated him to become the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, the third-highest ranking position within the State Department, in 2001. He continued in that capacity until February 2005. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of The Cohen Group, a strategic advisory firm founded by former U.S. Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen.
